Mary Lou Parks
TUPELO, MS - Mary Louise White Parks, 67, passed away at North Mississippi Medical Center on Thursday, October 4th, 2018. She was born June 22, 1951, in Jackson, MS, to Alonzo (“Lonnie”) Thomas White and Dorothy Louise Welsh White. She grew up in Jackson and Hattiesburg, MS then relocated with her family to Tupelo in 1964, where she graduated from Tupelo High School in 1968.
A service will be held at All Saints’ Episcopal Church on Saturday, October 13th at 3 PM, with The Rt. Rev. Duncan M Gray, III officiating. Committal of the ashes will immediately follow the service in the All Saints’ Chapel Columbarium. Holland Funeral Directors-Tupelo Chapel is honored to be assisting the family. She is survived by her son, Leon “Lee” C Parks, III, of Tupelo and daughter-in-law, Erica Hope Bottger Parks of Montgomery, her three step-children: Elizabeth Atlee Parks Breland, Margaret Parks Sessums, and John L. Parks, as well as her siblings -- her brother, Steve White, and three sisters, Ellen Caldwell, Susie Thompson, and Laura McCullough, all of Tupelo.
She was preceded in death by her parents, A.T. and Louise White, and her husband, Leon C. Parks, Jr.
Visitation will be in the Parish Hall of All Saints’ Episcopal Church on Jefferson St. in Tupelo, Saturday, Oct 13th from 1 PM until service time.
