Judy Ann Farley

February 23, 1951 ~ June 29, 2019 (age 68)

Hopewell-Keys Community-Judy Ann Reich Farley, 68, departed this life for the life eternal after a short but fiercely fought battle with pancreatic cancer.  Judy, a lifelong resident of this area, was born on February 23, 1951 in Amory to the late L.C. Reich and Evelyn Ray Parrish Reich.  She worked as a seamstress in area furniture facilities for most of her life with her last employment at PeopLoungers in Nettleton.  A longtime member of the Carnation Baptist Church in Okolona, Judy enjoyed jewelry, collecting interior decorating items and her dogs.  Affectionately known as either “Nanny” or Mamaw Ju Ju by the grandkids, she really enjoyed her time with them as well as all her family.  An independent, strong willed lady; she will be missed by her family and large circle of friends.

A service celebrating her life will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at the Carnation Baptist Church in Okolona with Bro. Jeremy Lincoln and Bro. Jody Rock officiating.  Burial will follow in the Hopewell-Keys Cemetery in Itawamba Co.  Visitation will be from 5 PM-8 PM today (Mon.) and from Noon-service time on Tuesday, all at Carnation Baptist Church.  Holland Funeral Directors-Okolona Chapel is honored to be serving their friends.

Judy leaves behind her husband; James Farley of Hopewell-Keys Community, to whom she married April 15, 2000;  her 5 daughters, Lisa Dabbs (Brad Burleson) of Blue Springs, Linda McCollum (Rick) of Pontotoc, Angela Parks (David) of Blue Springs, Cynthia Oliver of Blue Springs and Jessica Griggs (Tom) of Amory.  16 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren;  2 sisters, Mary Nell Ray (Leonard) of Hopewell-Keys and Brenda Jolly (Phillip) of Okolona; 1 brother, Eugene Rea of Saltillo, and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  She is also preceded in death by a son, Jamie Farley.

Pallbearers will be grandson’s; Levi Lawson, Jake Lawson, Blake McCollum and Lee McCollum and nephews, Hunter Jolly and David Archie.  Honorary pallbearers will be Bryson Burleson, Ayden Burleson, Noah Oliver, Ayden Griggs, Luke Griggs, Malachi Farley and David McRee.
