Auburn Community - Jason Bradford Wheat died Thursday, Oct. 17, 2019, in Tupelo. He was 46. He was born April 12, 1973 in San Francisco, CA to William Omer Wheat, Jr. of California and Peggy Sue Stone Hallmark of Baldwyn, MS. He did construction work for MPS High Rise Construction in Mooreville, MS. Jason loved to draw and was quite accomplished at it. He loved animals: his dogs Charlie, Callie, Misfit, and Snoop were like his children. He was “Uncle Jassie” to his nieces and nephews and spent lots of time with them. He was quite the handyman. He loved his family, the San Francisco 49ers, and was a member of Cornerstone Church in Tupelo.
A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2019, at the Tupelo Chapel of Holland Funeral Directors. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to service time Wednesday only. Honorary Pallbearers will be Nick Eberhardy and Chris Sanders. Pastor Jeff Robbins of Cornerstone Church will officiate.
Jason is survived by his mother, Peggy Stone Hallmark of Saltillo, MS, and his step-father, Arnold Lee Potts; his ex-wife and best friend, Lisa Eberhardy (Nick) of Franklin, NC; brother, William Wheat, III of Elk City, OK; sister, Sheila Allen (Shane) of Tupelo, MS; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; and his nieces and nephews, Jacob Wheat, Rylee and Colby Wheat, Leia Kosteck, Maddy Cox, Dylan and Davis Allen, Landry Allen, Tyler and Tori Stallings, and Luna Stallings.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Wheat, Jr.; his grandparents, Lonnie and Lorraine Quigley, J.B. and Betty Stone, William O. Wheat, Sr., and special family, William T. McKinney and Nell McKinney.
