Israel Kay Redd, III

August 29, 1951 ~ August 25, 2019 (age 67)


Sherman - Israel Kay Redd III, 67, passed away at his residence in Sherman, Mississippi, on August 25, 2019.  Israel was born on August 29, 1951, in Richmond, Virginia  to Israel Kay Jr. and Dalphine (Lovell) Redd.  He graduated from Montgomery Blair High School in Sivler Spring, Maryland, and received his BS from Washington & Lee University in Lexington, Virginia.
He was employed at Burke Parsons Bowlby in Goshen, Virginia, driving rail road ties and moved up to sales manager. He later worked sales at Chesapeake Lumber in Elizabeth City, North Carolina, before moving to Tupelo, where he was employed in sales at Tri-State Lumber in Fulton, Mississippi until his retirement. 
Israel enjoyed music, playing the piano, running, history, and meeting new people.  He devoted much of his time to his children building playground sets, toy boxes, dog houses, and tree houses.

Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Dalphine Redd of Cabin John, Maryland; his two brothers, Chuck Redd (Gail) of Takoma Park, Maryland, and Robert Redd (Kathy) of Bethesda, Maryland; nephew Charlie Redd; niece Katie Redd; his step-daughter Kitty (Durham) from his first marriage to Kristi Redd; his daughter Jessica M. Sartalamacchia (Travis) of Catonsville, Maryland; and son Jacob L. Redd (Kelly) of Tupelo, Mississippi from his second marriage to Anita Bender; and beloved by his two grandchildren Elizabeth and TJ.  Not to forget, his faithful companion, Mr. Piddles (pet). He was preceded in death by his Father; several Aunts; Uncles and his grandparents.
