Nettleton – Ms. Gail Rogers Riley, 75, died Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at North Mississippi Medical Center Hospice Unit following an extended illness. She was born January 27, 1944 in Tupelo, MS, to Ravious Rogers and Cumi West Rogers. She was a native of Itawamba county and lived her adult life in Nettleton where she attended Liberty Baptist Church and CrossPointe Fellowship. She worked as a Planner employed by Rockwell/Delta International for 40 years before retirement. Gail enjoyed watching sports, especially watching her grandchildren. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles, reading, and shopping for decorations for herself and her children.
A celebration of life service will be at 11 AM, Friday, March 29, 2019 in the Tupelo Chapel of Holland Funeral Directors with Bro. Robert Hogue and Bro. Tommy Ray Dabbs officiating. Private burial will follow in New Chapel Cemetery. Visitation is today from 5 PM – 8 PM and Friday from 10 AM to service time.
Survivors include her son, Wes Riley (Amy) of Nettleton and stepson, Michael Riley of Pontotoc; daughters, DeAnna (Billy) Adkins and Tina Young (David), all of Nettleton; 8 grandchildren, Luke Adkins (Avery), Adam Adkins, Joseph Young (Chasta), Jonathan Young (Sydney), Mari Anna Goodwin (Philip), Elizabeth Cruber (Dakota), Will Riley (Katie), and Sam Riley; 5 great-grandchildren, Reed Young, Ava Claire Young, Riley Rose Cruber, Jacob James Riley, and Stetson Adkins. She is preceded in death by her parents; the father of her children, Billy Wayne Riley and granddaughter, Margaret Kate “Maggie” Riley.
Pallbearers will be grandchildren, Luke Adkins, Adam Adkins, Joseph Young Jonathan Young, Philip Goodwin, Will Riley, Sam Riley, Dakota Cruber, and Brett Riley.
